Runs entirely on-device using your browser's built-in speech engine — nothing is uploaded anywhere, so it works offline once the page is open. Voice quality and the exact list of voices depend on your operating system. For the most natural-sounding voices, look for ones labelled "Enhanced", "Premium" or "Natural".
Downloading captures this tab's audio while it reads — your browser will ask you to pick "this tab" and turn on "share tab audio" when you press the download button. Works in Chrome and Edge; Safari and Firefox don't support tab-audio capture yet.
Uses your browser's built-in speech recognition (Chrome/Edge). Unlike the reader, this isn't fully offline - Chrome sends short audio snippets to Google's servers to do the recognition, so avoid it for anything you need to keep strictly private.
